What fails first, and how it is prevented
The henna night is the one stage of a Moroccan wedding where the hands are photographed more than the face. Hands are prepared as part of the booking rather than noticed on the day, and the face goes a step lighter — a heavy face above close-up hands unbalances every frame.
What Marrakech adds to it
Marrakech is the theatrical end of Moroccan bridal: bold palettes, layered garments, richly patterned fabric and heavy jewellery. Where Rabat withholds, Marrakech accumulates.
The metal question. Gold-dominant and heavily layered. Warm palettes, and deeper saturation than a coastal look needs.
The climate. Hot, dry and inland, punishing in summer. Skin is prepared over days rather than on the morning, and the base is chosen for dryness rather than for shine control.
Before the day
Henna itself must be applied the day before to reach its true colour. Applied on the morning it stays orange and pale in the photographs, so the night is planned backwards from that.
