The bridal tradition around Inezgane

The Souss carries Amazigh dress: motifs and belts, handcrafted crowns and elaborate headdresses that frame the face, built from metalwork, textile wraps and beadwork. The headdress is a structural element rather than an accessory.

The headdress dictates the face. It frames tightly, so the eye must read from within that frame rather than compete with it, and anything placed high on the lid disappears under the metalwork.

Silver, and why it inverts the usual rule

This is the region that inverts the usual rule. Amazigh parure is silver-led, and silver is cool. Smoked greys, cool taupes and cool plums accord with it — the exact palette that fails against Fassi gold.

Warm, dry and coastal-Atlantic in Agadir, arid inland. A long, hot day rather than a humid one.

The general rule holds everywhere in Morocco: set in thin successive passes rather than one heavy layer. Accumulated product slides; product laid down thinly stays. What changes by region is the base underneath it.

Travelling to Inezgane

Agadir is roughly six to seven hours by road from Casablanca, or a short flight. Overnight is standard for a morning call.

Bridal bookings include a full trial. For a wedding outside Casablanca the trial is scheduled either on the same trip or in Casablanca beforehand — whichever fits the date better.
