Founded 1910. Founded by Coco Chanel in 1910, and one of the few beauty lines where the couture house and the cosmetics share a genuine aesthetic rather than only a name.

Chanel is the clearest case of a beauty line reading as an extension of a fashion house: restraint, a narrow signature palette, and the black-and-white codes carried straight from couture into packaging and campaign.

What is worth it

Les Beiges

Sheer complexion range — water-fresh tint, healthy glow powder.

Built around evenness rather than coverage, which is what most clients mean when they ask for something natural. It is a daytime and photography-adjacent product, not a fourteen-hour wedding base.

Rouge Allure
