Burgundy eyeshadow
Every eyeshadow colour has a skin tone it flatters and one it fights, and the difference is temperature rather than depth.

Choose for the light it will be seen in, which is rarely the light you are standing in.
What actually decides it
Pigment load first, then temperature. A weak formula in the right colour does nothing; a strong formula in the wrong temperature reads as dirt.
Why burgundy specifically. Burgundy is deep and warm-cool at once, which makes it one of the more forgiving garment colours.
It carries both a warm bronze eye and a deep berry lip; choose one to lead.
On Moroccan skin, in a Moroccan climate
The constant across this site: warm bronzes, coppers, terracottas and golds read on olive and deeper skin, while cool taupes and greyed browns tend to read as dullness rather than depth.
What it will not do
Colour does not create shape. Placement does that, and a beautiful colour badly placed still reads as a mistake.
