Makeup tips for sensitive skin
Fewer products, patch-tested in advance, and nothing new introduced close to an event.

How to do it
- Patch-test anything unfamiliar at least a week beforehand.
- Reduce the number of layers rather than looking for gentler versions of all of them.
- Avoid heavy fragrance and, where reactions are known, choose mineral formulas.
- Apply with clean tools — brushes are a common and overlooked irritant.
The Moroccan adjustment
Heat and sun both aggravate sensitive skin, and a Moroccan wedding morning is the worst possible time to discover a reaction. Nothing new goes on within a week of the day.
What goes wrong
Trying a new product for the first time on the day of an event. It is the single most avoidable cause of a ruined morning.
