Bronze makeup looks
A colour look succeeds on commitment. A half-committed colour reads as a mistake rather than as a choice.
Written by Lamyaa Aissi, professional makeup artist, Casablanca.
Build in thin layers so every stage stays correctable.
What actually decides it
One deliberate colour, placed properly, with the rest of the face left plain enough that it reads.
The specific case of bronze looks. Start from the condition it has to survive — how long, in what light, photographed or not — and work backwards to the formula. Choosing the product first and hoping is what produces most of the failures.
On Moroccan skin, in a Moroccan climate
Strong colour needs real pigment to register on deeper skin — a sheer wash that reads as bold on fair skin often disappears entirely.
What it will not do
It is not a daily look for most people, and building it as one usually means diluting it until it stops working.
