Makeup tips for oily skin
Oily skin needs oil control and grip: a mattifying primer where oil appears, a long-wear matte base, and powder where it shines.

How to do it
- Prime only the areas that actually get oily, usually the T-zone.
- Choose a long-wear matte or soft-matte liquid, or a powder foundation for a shorter event.
- Set the T-zone properly — this is the one skin type where fuller setting is correct.
- Carry blotting papers rather than powder for touch-ups.
- Finish with a matte setting spray.
The Moroccan adjustment
Coastal Casablanca humidity is the hardest condition for oily skin, and it is where matte formulas genuinely outperform luminous ones. This is the opposite of the advice for dry skin.

Stripping the skin to control oil. Over-cleansing makes it produce more, and the base then has nothing to grip.
