Setting powder for different skin types
Oily skin sets fully across the centre panel; dry and mature skin set almost nothing, and only where the face moves.

How to do it
- Oily: translucent powder across the T-zone, pressed and built if needed.
- Combination: T-zone only, cheeks bare.
- Dry: a fraction of powder on the centre, nothing on the cheeks.
- Mature: the smallest possible amount, pressed, never baked.
- Test any translucent powder under flash on deeper skin before an event.
The Moroccan adjustment
Many powders sold as translucent carry white filler that is invisible on fair skin and reads as a grey veil on deeper skin, most visibly under flash.
