How to Buy Makeup in Morocco
Which shops are real, which channel to use for which brand, what things actually cost, and the one piece of misinformation that sends thousands of Moroccan shoppers looking for a store that does not exist.
Start here: there is no Sephora in Morocco
Not at Morocco Mall. Not in Rabat. Not in Marrakech. The rumour comes back every year and it has never been true. Anything sold in Morocco under the Sephora name arrived through a reseller or a personal shopper, which means no brand guarantee, no returns, and no way to verify a batch code.
What Morocco does have is four genuine channels, and knowing which one you are in is the difference between paying a fair price for a real product and paying a luxury price for a fake.
Channel 1 — official brand stores
Only one brand on this site runs a real Moroccan e-boutique: Dior, at shop-beauty.dior.ma. The full Backstage and Forever ranges, priced in dirhams, shipped domestically. Backstage Face & Body sits at 521 MAD there, which is roughly what it costs in France once you convert.
If a brand you want has an official Moroccan store, use it. You get the whole shade range instead of whatever an importer chose to bring in, and authenticity is not a question you have to ask.
Channel 2 — physical multi-brand stores
Yan&One at Morocco Mall is the largest beauty floor in the country — 3,500 m², fourteen sections, testers on everything. It is Moroccan-owned, built by the Aksal group, and it also has branches in Rabat, Tangier, Temara and Marrakech. This is where you go when the shade match matters more than the price, because you can actually swatch on your own jaw in daylight.
Faces runs eight Moroccan branches with Dior, Chanel, YSL, Guerlain and Estée Lauder counters. Marionnaud sits at 192 Boulevard d'Anfa in Casablanca (0522 364 500) and carries YSL Beauty, Lancôme and Clarins, with Click & Collect and free city delivery from 500 MAD. Beauty Success covers several cities for mainstream prestige.
Channel 3 — Moroccan online shops
This is where most people actually buy, and the selection is better than the physical stores. Zwine carries 150+ brands with 24–48h nationwide delivery and free shipping over 1,000 MAD. Beauty Corner is strong on prestige and takes cash on delivery, which matters if you would rather not put a card into an unfamiliar site. Haytam Parfumerie is one of the very few places listing NARS. Palmarosa is an officially authorised NYX reseller, so authenticity there is not a gamble.
Also worth knowing: Zin Beauty Shop for the sharpest prices, ChikShop for direct imports, Secrets Glow for Rare Beauty, La Essenza and Kosmeticas for Benefit, Glamour Makeup for the Make Up For Ever pro line, and Moons for L'Oréal at drugstore prices.
Channel 4 — import
Some things simply are not sold here. Kryolan, Made By Mitchell and most of Hourglass have no verified Moroccan distributor. Working artists order direct from Europe or buy while travelling. Budget for shipping and for customs on anything over the duty-free threshold, and order the larger sizes so the trip pays for itself.
Beautizshop ships to Morocco and is often the only route to the artistry brands — Hourglass Vanish lands at 630 MAD there.

A price far below these is not a bargain. It is a counterfeit signal.

No. There is no Sephora store anywhere in Morocco — not at Morocco Mall, not in Rabat, not in Marrakech. Products sold here under that name come through resellers and personal shoppers.
