Laguna Bronzing Cream — 02 (Original)

What it is

NARS Laguna is the bronzer that other bronzers get compared to. The reason is the undertone: it is a true neutral-warm brown with no orange and no grey, which means it reads as sunlight on skin rather than as a stripe of product.

The cream format melts into the skin and sits under or over foundation without disturbing it. Where the powder gives a soft diffused warmth, the cream gives a skin-like, almost wet warmth that photographs as though the client has actually been in the sun.

Shade 02 is the original — the reference point of the whole line. The jar is a generous 19 g, which for a cream product is a very long working life.

How it is used in this kit

• Cream bronzer goes on before powder, always. Over powder it grabs and patches.
• Place it where the sun would actually hit: the top of the forehead, the bridge of the nose, the tops of the cheekbones, the jaw. Not in a hollow-cheek contour stripe — that is contour, not bronzer, and they are different jobs.
• Warm it on the back of the hand and apply with fingers for the most natural finish; a small dense brush if you need precision.
• Take it onto the neck and the ears. A bronzed face on a pale neck is the single most common visible mistake in wedding photography.

Why it earns its place in Morocco

Moroccan skin is generally warm-toned already, which is exactly why a bronzer with no orange in it matters — you are adding depth, not adding colour. Laguna 02 warms olive and golden complexions without pushing them into a tan that does not belong to them.
