Selena Gomez's brand makes the highlighter that does not look like glitter on camera. Two shades sit in this kit and both get used.
What it is
Positive Light Silky Touch is Rare Beauty's pressed highlighter — a silky, finely-milled powder that gives a lit, wet-looking sheen rather than visible sparkle. That distinction is everything under a photographer's flash: glitter particles catch the light as individual points and read as texture, while a fine sheen reads as skin.
Two shades are carried here. Enlighten and Exhilarate sit at different points on the warm-to-cool axis, which is what lets one kit serve both olive complexions that need a cooler lift and golden complexions that need a warmer one.
Both are 2.8 g, made in Italy, with a 12-month period after opening — a shorter PAO than most powders, which is worth noting if you are buying for personal use rather than for a working kit that turns over fast.

How it is used in this kit
- Apply with a fan brush along the very top of the cheekbone, the bridge of the nose and the cupid's bow. Never on the apple of the cheek — that is where blush goes, and highlighter there reads as shine, not glow.
- Keep it off textured skin. Highlighter exaggerates whatever is underneath it.
- For photography, less than you would apply for the naked eye. Flash multiplies it.
- A touch on the collarbone and the tops of the shoulders finishes a caftan or takchita look properly — the face should not be the only lit thing in the frame.
Why it earns its place in Morocco
Moroccan bridal photography is heavy on gold — gold jewellery, gold thread, gold lighting. A highlighter that gives a smooth sheen rather than a sparkle sits with that instead of fighting it, and having both a cooler and a warmer shade means you can pull the glow toward or away from the metal the client is wearing.

They sit at different points on the warm-cool axis. As a rule, the cooler of the two lifts olive complexions and the warmer flatters golden ones — but the honest answer is to swatch both in daylight, which is why a working kit carries both.
Why only 12 months after opening?
That is what the base of the compact states. Powder highlighters do not spoil dramatically, but the binders that keep them silky do degrade, and a compact that has gone hard and patchy is usually past its date.
