Supracolor Teintschminke

A German theatrical cream foundation that predates every other base in this kit by decades, and still does one thing nothing else does: absolute, unarguable coverage.

What it is

Supracolor is Kryolan's cream foundation — a greasepaint in the proper professional sense, made in Berlin for stage, film and television. It is not a consumer product and it does not behave like one. It comes as a firm cream in a shallow pot, it is worked with a brush or a fingertip, and it covers absolutely anything.

The German name on the lid, Teintschminke, translates roughly as “complexion paint”, which is a fair description of what it is. Pigment load is extremely high. A quantity the size of a grain of rice will cover a tattoo, a birthmark or a bruise.

It must be set with powder. Unset, it will transfer onto everything it touches. Set properly, it survives stage lights, tears and a full night of wear.

How it is used in this kit

  • Warm it on the back of the hand first. Applied cold it drags; warmed it melts into skin.
  • Powder immediately and generously, then dust the excess off. This is the step people skip and then blame the product.
  • For tattoo or scar cover, use the orange or red-toned shades to neutralise first, then the skin shade on top — never the skin shade alone.
  • A little goes a very long way. A single pot outlasts several bottles of liquid foundation, which is what makes the import cost bearable.
  • Remove with an oil cleanser or cold cream, never with a water-based micellar alone.

Why it earns its place in Morocco

Moroccan bridal work regularly involves covering something — a tattoo, a scar, hyperpigmentation, an old henna stain that has not faded on schedule — under lights and on camera, with no option to retouch mid-ceremony. Nothing in the modern consumer market does that job as reliably as a professional greasepaint.

Where to buy it in Morocco

Every link goes straight to the shop — no middleman, no markup from us. Prices are what they were in August 2026 and they move, so check before you order. Not sure which shade is yours? Ask me before you spend the money.

Every stockist worth knowing

Let's clear one thing up before you spend anything: there is no Sephora in Morocco. Not at Morocco Mall, not in Rabat, not in Marrakech — whatever your cousin's friend swears she saw. Anything sold here under that name arrived in somebody's suitcase. What we do have is Yan&One, Faces and Marionnaud if you want to swatch in person, and Zwine, Beauty Corner or Haytam if you want it at your door by Thursday.

Kryolan (direct order)

Import · no Moroccan distributor found

There is no authorised Kryolan distributor in Morocco that we could verify. Working artists here order direct from kryolan.com or from French pro resellers and carry stock back. Budget for shipping and customs, and order the large sizes so the trip is worth it.

The Casablanca wholesale channel (e.g. grossistecosmetique.ma) is where much of the affordable kit stock in Morocco actually comes from. Good for volume basics; verify authenticity before it touches a client's face.

Personal import / travel buy

No Moroccan stockist verified

No Moroccan retailer stocking this line could be verified. Realistic routes are ordering from a European site that ships to Morocco (expect customs on anything over the duty-free threshold), or buying in Paris, Madrid or Dubai on the way through.

I buy from these shops myself, so the prices above are real ones from August 2026 rather than converted foreign RRPs. They do move. And if a price looks too good — 70 % under everyone else — that is not a bargain in this market, it is a counterfeit. Here is how to tell.

Questions

Can I buy Kryolan in Morocco?

Not easily, and we could not verify any authorised Moroccan distributor. Working artists here order direct from kryolan.com or from French professional resellers and bring stock back. If you find it in a Casablanca wholesale shop, check the packaging carefully — this is a counterfeited brand.

Is Supracolor the same as Dermacolor?

No, though both are Kryolan. Supracolor is the general-purpose stage and film greasepaint. Dermacolor is the medical-grade camouflage line, formulated specifically for covering skin conditions, vitiligo, scarring and tattoos.

Does it work on oily skin?

It works on everything, but it must be powdered thoroughly. On oily skin, use a mattifying powder and expect to blot rather than reapply.
