How to make eyes look bigger
Light at the inner corner and centre of the lid, depth at the outer corner, and a curled lash.
Written by Lamyaa Aissi, professional makeup artist, Casablanca.
How to do it
- Curl the lash and apply mascara to the upper lash only, or very lightly below.
- Place a light shimmer at the inner corner and the centre of the mobile lid.
- Keep depth at the outer third, blended upward.
- Line the upper lash line and tightline rather than lining the lower waterline heavily.
The Moroccan adjustment
On hooded eyes the depth must sit above the natural crease or it disappears when the eye opens, which closes rather than opens the eye.
What goes wrong
Lining the lower waterline dark. It visually closes the eye, which is the opposite of the intent.
