A dense, high-pigment concealer for significant coverage.
Written by Lamyaa Aissi, professional makeup artist, Casablanca. Part of the Concealer & Colour Correction guide.
When to use it
On blemishes, scarring and marked pigmentation, in the smallest quantity that works.
On Moroccan skin, in a Moroccan climate
Useful for post-inflammatory marks, which are common on skin that pigments easily and do not respond to a light concealer.
The rule that runs through every product on this site: check undertone, not just depth. Most Moroccan skin is olive or golden, and a neutral or pink-based product greys within the hour however precisely the depth matches. And for any long event, set in thin successive passes rather than one heavy layer — accumulated product slides in coastal humidity, while product laid down thinly stays.
What it will not do
The under-eye, usually. Full-coverage formulas are heavy for an area that moves constantly, and they crease.
The most common mistake
Applying it with a finger over a blemish. Press with a small brush so the product stays where the mark is.
